Golden is centrally located between Revelstoke and Banff within scenic driving distance of Banff, Yoho, Jasper, Glacier and Kootenay National Parks. Ride to the top of 7700’ Dogtooth mountain in the new Kicking Horse Mountain Resort’s 8-passenger gondola to enjoy spectacular 360° views of the Purcell and Rocky Mountains and gourmet dining in the Eagle’s Eye—the highest restaurant in Canada. Bird-watching in the Columbia River Wetlands or observing Rocky Mountain Sheep near the highways are readily available for the nature lovers.
At our B&B property, there are trails for short walks among the birch, aspen and fir trees or in winter cross-country skiing can be enjoyed. These trails connect to an ever growing network in the surrounding area. A short drive will bring you to the Columbia River. For the astronomically inclined, the lack of artificial lighting in the area makes this a perfect place to observe the stars and moon. |
